I’ll be the first to admit that I have a momiform (mom uniform). Skinny jeans, a black top or sweater and sandals or boots…it’s what you catch me in day after day, season after season. As boring as it may sound, I do like to put my own spin on the look with interesting textures and accessories. One of the textures topping my list this year is coated denim. Looking very much like leather but with easier care instructions, coated denim gives your overall look a little attitude. Of course it’s great for a night out, but coated denim is also very daytime-appropriate with a tee and oversize cardigan or a chambray shirt and slip-on sneakers. If black feels a bit too heavy-metal-mama to you, try a rich gray or burgundy coated denim. And don’t be afraid to rock this trend if you’re expecting. It’s guaranteed to make you feel confident and sexy no matter your trimester.
