If you’ve ever looked at the age recommendation for an American Girl doll you can see that it says for ages 8 and up. However, more and more toddlers are seeing their older siblings with one and they also want to get in on the action. With a rather big price tag, I went looking for a toddler-friendly alternative and came upon the Mooshka Dolls that are now exclusively online and in store at Target. Each doll has a name, birthday and a few facts about them included, in addition to a paper doll chain and finger puppet doll. The soft dolls are all under $20, machine washable and there are several dolls to choose from including the Mooshka Doll Tots, Mooshka Fairytale and Fairytale Minis, Mooshka Girls and Mooshka Sing Around the Rosie. On the Web site, Mooshka.com, you can find free ebook downloads and activity sheets for each of the girls in the collection.
