Dark wash denim may be a perennial favorite, but lighter tones, chambray and special treatments are absolutely huge this season. From distressing to acid washes to subtle prints, they all make denim anything but basic. One of my personal favorite denim adornments for 2014 is railroad stripes. A little bolder than seersucker, railroad stripes still work in most office settings when worn on tailored styles like a blazer or oxford shirt. Of course a bit of distressing or fading can give the look a downtown cool feel. Whatever you choose, this trend’s springy vibe makes it so easy to love right now.
