With all the emphasis on bold looks and the dead of winter making people in some regions lean into greys and blacks, it was refreshing to see Cate Blanchett show up for the SAG Awards in an ensemble that’s best described as petal pink. Jeanine Lobell, her makeup artist, says she was going for a 60s fairy look with Cate’s pale pink lips and shadows and dramatic yet soft eyeliner.
Jeanine spilled just how to copy the look for us, too. On Cate’s eyes she used NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Alhambra (which she dusted with a little blush), paired with a lining with Surratt Smokey Eye Baton in 3: Cendres Nars. As the finishing touches she used Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara in Black and of course some false lashes, as well as Nars Brow Perfector.
To achieve the perfect foundation for that radiant glow, Jeanine used a SK-II Facial Treatment Mask, followed by Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation in Shade 2 and topped with Lancôme Translucence Mattifying Silky Pressed Powder. For that pretty in pink cheek and lip color NARS Final Cut Blush in New Attitude and Surratt Lipslique in 2: Bon Bon were applied.
