We didn’t expect attendees at last week’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful Event to arrive in swimsuits, but we certainly didn’t anticipate one former cover model going all-out on the red carpet. Although Heidi Klum and Kate Upton opted for sleeker looks, Kathy went with an extremely formal emerald Keepsake strapless gown with a mermaid silhouette. She even overloaded on the flashy jewelry and capped off the look with mostly hidden Casadei heels.
This gown is simply out of place, especially if you compare it to the other looks at the event. A well-tailored pantsuit would probably have been a better fit. Do you agree that Kathy’s gown was too much for a celebration of swimsuit models or do you like her grand appearance?
