I’ll admit that I’m game for practically any trend. Wedge sneakers? I fell hook, line and sinker. They were perfect for those uber-casual days but completed the whole ensemble with a little panache. 2014 has kind of put the kibosh on the wedge sneaker trend, however, which leaves a bit of a void in my closet. Thankfully the next casual shoe trend to step up is the retro skate-style slip-on sneaker. In classic old-school skater prints (think checkerboard), as well as more fashion-forward metallics, leopard and camo, slip-on sneakers look great with jeans. And if you feel like pushing the envelope a bit, try pairing your favorite slip-on sneakers with coated jeans or cigarette pants and faux fur.
