Leather seems naturally better suited for colder months, but celebs have been favoring it throughout the summer. Katy Perry, Rita Ora and Selena Gomez have all been spotted rocking leather pieces despite the warm temperatures. Lily Collins just sported a pleated skirt made of leather paired with a black Thakoon top for her Seventeen magazine signing at Barnes & Noble in New York City on Tuesday. A pair of Christian Louboutin pumps finished off the look. Sarah Michelle Gellar also opted for black leather at the CW, CBS and Showtime 2013 Summer TCA Party in Los Angeles at the end of last month. Her Izmaylova Fall 2013 peplum dress was accented by Dana Rebecca Designs jewels, a black Swarovski cuff and studded Jimmy Choo Anouk pumps. It was a leather short sleeve Fall 2013 mini dress by Azede Jean-Pierre for Angie Harmon at TNT's 25th Anniversary Party in Beverly Hills. Jewelry by both Irit Design and Le Vian, a spiked Christian Louboutin Marquise clutch along with Jimmy Choo Lance sandals all served as accessories.
