Red carpet: 2013 CMT Music Awards

Country celebrated some of its brightest stars last night at the 2013 CMT Music Awards. New mom Kristen Bell played host alongside Jason Aldean for this year's ceremony in Nashville. Cut-out accents, embellishments and neutral colors reigned supreme on the purple carpet. Here's an overview of some of the looks from the annual award show.



Carrie Underwood opted for an aqua ensemble from Georges Chakra's Spring 2013 collection. Her sheer-paneled long sleeve sequin top and matching shorts were capped off with a pair of pewter peep-toes. It was an embellished Elie Saab for Taylor Swift out in Nashville. She styled her nude Spring 2013 dress with Neil Lane jewels and Jimmy Choo shoes. Nicole Kidman came out to support husband Keith Urban decked out in a black sleeveless Christian Dior dress. Christian Dior was also behind her pumps, while her bracelet was by Fred Leighton.



Sheryl Crow's white Willow dress featured cut-out details on the strapless bodice. She finished off the look with Saint Laurent sandals. Kristen selected a luxe leather Zuhair Murad dress for the purple carpet. Jimmy Choo footwear rounded out the look. Jana Kramer went for high glamour at the event. She made an impact in a black semi-sheer Pavoni gown with delicate embroidery.

Although there really wasn't a standout outfit this year, we still liked Carrie's aqua short set and Jana's embroidered Pavoni. Which celeb do you think was best dressed at the awards?
