Do not even think about showing off your cutest sandals unless you've prepared your feet for public viewing -- this applies to flip flops, too. But don't think that you have to run to the salon and part with your hard earned dollars to get your feet ready.
To start with you'll  need some basic tools:
  • Nail Clipper
  • Pumice Stone
  • Nail Brush
Step one is soaking feet in the tub or in a large bowl of warm water. You don't need to use any special type of soap, just something to get the skin clean. After letting them soak for a couple minutes it's time to scrub them, The Body Shop has a great scrub called Peppermint Cooling Pumice Foot Scrub. I usually follow up after the scrub with a rub down from the pumice stone, but The Body Shop scrub does have pumice in it, so you might find it worked its magic on all those rough spots. After you've rinsed off all the scrub stuff you should pat feet dry and finish up with a deep, soothing lotion. L'Occitane just added a foot lotion called Foot Care to their Amande (almond) line -- it smells and feels amazing, and has a powdery finish that dries instantly on feet.
