As spring rolls around we expect to see lighter softer makeup palettes in the streets and on the red carpet, but instead we've sen nothing but dark lips on the red carpet. Jessica Alba and Kate Bosworth both sported dark berry lips to the Met Gala, while Jessica Chastain worked some crimson lips on the red carpet for Madagascar Three at the Cannes Film Festival.
The stars key to working this trend is to keep the rest of the makeup minimal while focusing on the lips.
