It may be the middle of winter, but New York is already buzzing about what's hot for Fall 2012 with NY Fashion Week in full swing at Lincoln Center. Here are highlights from some of yesterday's best shows:
DIANE VON FURSTENBERG
Sophisticated, but approachable, this season's Diane von Furstenberg collection had a balanced mix of fitted and loosely draped silhouettes. Similarly quirky prints were shown alongside classic monochrome staples making for a slew of glam looks that boasted a relaxing ease.

VICTORIA BECKHAM
When it comes to consistently delivering a stellar line-up of form-fitting, high quality dresses, it's hard to top Victoria Beckham. This season's streamlined collection offered a slew of perfectly tailored stunners, each of which had just the right amount of detail (think contrasting peter pan collars, handbag-inspired hardware detailing, and slender leather belts) to make a memorable impact while maintaining a sophisticated, albeit often austere, look.

DKNY
On-the-go women with no time to change their clothes from day to night need not look much further than this season's DKNY collection. Done mostly in all-flattering black, there were some pops of deep purple, burgundy, gray, and blue in the "Poetic Rebellion" titled collection. Don't let the name fool you, the collection was tailored, sleek, and refined without sacrificing the young and fresh aesthetic DKNY is known for.
